Frankie Cheez
Cheez, Cheezy

Frankie Ooots! Cheezy to some: Cause he's so fresh & silly, and for composing the "Corn Beef Cheez" Tapes.   Call him what you will, this kid was born in an elevator stuck on the 13th floor in a thunder storm... He grew up on Cereal (i.e., Captain Crunch, Count Chokula, Lucky Charms) to name a few... Ya know - The good stuff! Lunch & Dinner were mostly  Peanut Butter & Jelly (Skippy Chunky chilled from the fridge), a  Cream Cheez & Jelly sandwich, an occasional Flufonutter or Grilled Cheez with a Glass of Chocolate Milk.

With the diet of a champion at such an early age, he began his musical journey singing in the lounge at the hotel while on vacation... He would get up on a chair or a table and sing such hits as Engelbert Humper dinck's "I Love You Baby" or  "Roe Row Row Yab Boat" and of course  "You Light Up My Life"

At age 5 he received his first tape recorder... that's when the heavy experimentation began.. Locked  in a room for hours, some times days with only a glass of chocolate milk and 1/2 a cream cheez bagel... he Banged out hits Like "I Aint Goen'a School Today" and "She Can Ride My Big Wheel"

After 2 years of extensive writing and recording, Little Cheez took a Sabbatical to free up his head and recharge his creativity.. He spent most of his time discovering nature at the "Brook"... There he met Roca & Berny... 2 kids who also were escaping there current situation and they all had the same Curfew....Together they would trail the brook catching frogs & turtles....  some times Berny would catch a 2 foot eal in his b.ball hat.... One time they caught a two foot Snapping Turtle, they named it Luther and  put it in Bernies pool. The next day Luther was dead... The boys were very bummed.. I guess they didn't know Turtles don't like Chlorine....

Starting small fires and burning random objects were not uncommon for the trio as well... In fact - it was quite ritualistic. They also built the most dangerous rope swing in town and the best fort... With this kind of notoriety, the next step was Smoking Cigarettes and  Starting a Band! Frankie got his hands on a guitar and Roca got a bass, Berny Sang and they pulled in Urica V.C., a new comer to the Brook and a killer drummer... They called themselves "Espionage" - "ESP" for short.....

Years past and they dominated there School,  Knocked Over the Teachers  Piano,  played all the parties ... Later in High School the band went through line up changes... That's  when Frankie fell back to his locked away tape recorder days.. He has always been the Pioneer and had no time for the non sense...

Then came Shammy, a.k.a. "Shekey Spidermen", one of the greatest musicians and a special piece in the Puzzle Of Cheez.... They started a band called "Social Outcast" with Scottie on bass and Rhodsy on drums..  They wrote all the time, did some Ramones tunes... And spent a lot of time at Moe's Diner "$2.50.... donk you." They played the big clubs..  Got Paid.. They really could have busted out .. but then Rhodsy Moved Some where far away?? And the summer fell upon them and they all got  Girlfriends...and faded away.......

Back to the Tape Recorder....     So this is when the Cheez Boy really started cutting .... Now the tape recorder was a 4 Track and there was a whole new group of friends.. and this Spawned the "Corn Beef Cheez" Tapes A very experimental -mental- time... Parity songs, characters, strange voices and sound effex, all based around Cheez      Remember this was a time before people would refer to something as "Cheezy" - Maybe "Corny" - but Cheez had not exploded yet...

I remember a time when... Frankie visited the Boys on Bracket St. in Boston to party down... he was in his Cheez Hey-Day and when he returned he received a phone call from the Bracket Boys to tell him that Larent and other friends were now saying Cheez... Frankie was spreading the Cheez in Boston... Everywhere Frankie goes, he spreads the Cheez! If back in the day he would have seen that Cheez Commercial that's out now > "BEHOLD THE POWER OF CHEEZ" he would have flipped...

He had stickers made that say "Cheez Is Power" and "All We Are Saying Is Give Cheez A Chance". Ya know, if he knew the people at Kraft he could have written those commercials for them, and I know he wouldn't have charged much cause he loves Cheez... I know it's hard to get connections at Kraft... They are major ... Like a Major Record Label .. In fact, Kraft Should Sing Frankie Cheez, and He Could do C&R for them (Cheez & Relations)

So basically, Cheez is funny, everyone loves Cheez, Cheez goes well on food, don't like Broccoli? ... Shoot some Cheez on it! ... Cheezy songs of the 70's are very cool in the 90's.  For Example "Gassing Queen" from ABBA... ya see some Cheez just needs to ferment  a little... How about Bon Jovi of the 80's?... Huge!...in the 90's? Poop! For awhile there you might have thought they would never get back together, but their back and their stock is rising... What was that last song he had there right before the Grunge Movement... I think it was called "Shot Down in a Blaze of Corny"

After Frankie clogged his 4 track with Cheez, he moved on to Boston to refine his recording skills and study music ... While there, he met a whole welcoming slew of talent and freaks, and it just became musical boot camp - For years every thing was music-related 24-7. He's been quoted for calling Boston "The InFo Capital of the World" and also for saying "Everything I learned in that little city of Boston has applied to everything I've done around the world".

Frankie has done Extensive World Touring with The Classic Punk Rock Group, The Misfits, as their Monitor Engineer, Front of House Sound Engineer, and Guitar Technician. When The Misfits split for awhile, Cheezy kept spreading and jumped on tour with the new up-and-coming 3 Doors Down, as their Guitar Technician for another 2 years of nonstop, extensive touring... again and again U.S.A.  Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand.... Being part of the 3 Doors gang was a beautiful experience for Frankie; they became his new family, and along the way Frankie made some great friends all over this Cheezy planet...

After the 3 Doors Down run, Cheez moved to Florida and decided to put together the pieces of the last few years... There he recorded a lot of the songs he wrote on tour and wrote and reflected on all the crazy places... Florida was nice but it was time to move West... Next Stop: Long Beach!

Cheezy packed up and drove across the country to move into "The Space" - an artist loft in the heart of Long Beach. 2 blocks from Snoop Dogs V.I.P. Records...At "The Space", Cheez discovered L.A. and Orange County's underground music scene. All the most amazing and true musicians and artists live and hang there...     Frankie continued writing and recording and began to ooze into California, at this time. He also began to work with American Hi- Fi- a group who were forming back in Boston when Cheez was living there ... They traveled on and off ...  U.S., Europe and Japan..   Hi-Fi are a big part of the family now....and have common love for Japan...
